يقول مخرج التجربه جيف آدمز : نحن لا نحاول إرضاء طرف واحد وإزعاج الطرف الآخر ، ولا ننظر إلى الأمر من هذين المنظورين ولا نحاول جعل طرف سعيد والطرف الآخر غير سعيد

حيث اننا لا نفكر بهذه الطريقة بل اننا سنقول فقط هذه لارا ، هذه هي شخصيتها وهذه هي الأيقونة التي عرفناها

In an interview with GameSpot the Tomb Raider Devs revealed that they aren’t Trying To Appeal To “Either Side” Of Culture War Surrounding Lara’s Design

“We’re not trying to make one camp happy and the other camp miserable.”

We try not to view it from either of those angles. We’re not trying to make one camp happy and the other camp miserable.

We don’t think of it that way. We’re just like, ‘Hey, this is Lara. This is who she is and this is the icon that we’ve come to know.

How do we bring her into the most fully focused version that she’s ever been presented in?’ She’s Lara. She is the icon for a reason. So we just want to do justice to her.” Experience Director Jeff Adams

Additionally, game director Raul Siqueira stated: “The confidence, the wittiness … the personality that she has is so important for us [and we’re] making sure that we are doing that right. That’s why we all love Alix Wilton Regan so much she just nails it

ومع استمرار العمل على المشروعين، يترقب الجمهور رؤية النسخة الجديدة من لارا كروفت عبر أداء أليكس ويلتون ريغان، خاصة بعد فترة تطوير طويلة وغير معتادة في تاريخ السلسلة

With her casting as Lara Croft, Alix Wilton Regan marks the beginning of a new chapter for the iconic adventurer. She was selected for the role in April 2023, more than two years before her casting was officially announced in December 2025 , During this period, she continued working on both main projects in the series simultaneously, away from public attention

Regan is currently performing the role of Lara Croft in two in development games, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and Tomb Raider: Catalyst, delivering the character across two different experiences in terms of narrative and style

Both projects are considered among the longest in development in the history of the franchise, with work beginning in 2018 Despite the many years of production, development is still ongoing and has not yet reached its final stages, reflecting the scale of ambition and complexity behind the series reboot

As development continues, fans are looking forward to seeing the new interpretation of Lara Croft through Alix Wilton Regan’s performance, especially after such an unusually long production period in the franchise’s history

In an interview with IGN, the developers of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis confirmed that the upcoming reimagining of Lara Croft’s original adventure is not set in a separate continuity from the modern Survivor trilogy

Jeff Adams, Experience Director at Crystal Dynamics, said: while Lara’s Survivor-era adventures remain part of her past, Legacy of Atlantis is focused on a different stage of her life: “Lara has [the] Survivor series in her past, but she is not beholden to it in Legacy of Atlantis. So, we are finding [Lara] at a particular point in her career where you are seeing her in her prime and that’s what we’re focusing on for this experience
