في مقابلة حديثة مع مجلة إي دبليو، تحدثت أليكس ويلتون ريغان عن دورها الجديد باعتبارها لارا كروفت في مشاريع تومب رايدر القادمة، وشرحت أسلوبها في تقديم الشخصية, أوضحت فكرتها التي تسميها «لا نترك أي نسخة من لارا خلفنا»، أي أنها تسعى إلى الجمع بين جميع النسخ السابقة من لارا واحترامها بدل استبدالها

كما تحدثت عن عملية الاختبار الطويلة التي خاضتها قبل حصولها على الدور، وأكدت رغبتها في احترام إرث السلسلة وتقديم لارا لجيل جديد من اللاعبين

وأوضحت أيضاً أن «إرث أطلانتس» هي إعادة تصور حديثة للعبة تومب رايدر الأصلية الصادرة عام 1996، بينما «كاتاليست» هي مغامرة جديدة كلياً تدور أحداثها بعد كارثة كبرى وقعت في شمال الهند. ويهدف العملان إلى إطلاق مرحلة جديدة كلياً للسلسلة

كما تحدثت ريغان عن أهمية الأداء في ألعاب الفيديو وتأثير الألعاب في حياة اللاعبين. وروت قصة عن معجبة كانت تتعافى من حادث خطير، وجدت في إحدى الألعاب التي عملت عليها ريغان دعماً وراحة وساعدتها في إعادة التأهيل، مما عزز إيمانها بقوة السرد التفاعلي

In a recent interview with EW, Alix Wilton Regan spoke about her new role as Lara Croft in upcoming Tomb Raider projects and shared her approach to the character. She explained her idea of “No Laras Left Behind,” meaning she aims to bring together and respect all previous versions of Lara instead of replacing them. She also discussed the long audition process she went through before landing the role, and expressed her intention to honor the franchise’s legacy while introducing Lara to a new generation of players.

She also explained that Legacy of Atlantis is a modern reimagining of the original 1996 Tomb Raider game, while Catalyst is a brand-new adventure set after a major cataclysmic event in Northern India. Both projects are intended to launch a new era for the franchise.

Regan also spoke about the importance of video game performances and the impact games can have on players’ lives. She shared a story about a fan recovering from a serious accident who found comfort and rehabilitation through one of the games she had previously worked on, reinforcing her belief in the power of interactive storytelling
