Ankh

ظهر "مفتاح الحياة" او "العنخ" عدة مرات في سلسلة تومب رايدر وكانت المره الاولى في تومب رايدر عام 1996 وبعدها ظهر في تومب رايدر الايحاء الاخير حيث كان له دور اساسي في القصة

ظهرت مفتايح العنخ ايضاً في تومب رايدر الذكرى كمفتاح في مرحلة "ملجاء السكيون" وكـقطعة أثرية كما ظهرت ايضاً في لعبة لارا كروفت سباق القطع الاثرية حيث تتلخص قدرته في إعادة الحياة للاعب اذا مات

لكن ماذا تعرف عن العنخ ؟

Ankhs appeared a couple of times in Tomb Raider series the first was in Tomb Raider 1 back in 1996 then Tomb Raider the Last Revelation and had a key role in the story

Ankhs also appeared in Tomb Raider Anniversary as a keys to Sanctuary of the Scion and an artifact , they also appeared in Lara Croft Relic Run as they return life to the player upon death

Xibalba

زارت لارا شيبالبا في تومب رايدر العالم السفلي , لكن ماذا تكون شيبالبا ؟ دعنا نتعرف على هذا المكان

شيبالبا " شي بال با" كان اسم العالم الاخر في اساطير المايا , يحكم من قبل آلة الموت ومساعديهم وعددهم اثناعشر

اسم شيبالبا يعني " مكان الخوف" وكان يعتقد بأن المدخل الى شيبالبا هو كهف في كوبان في غواتيمالا ولكن وفقاً لبعض من تبقى من شعب المايا في الوقت الحالي فأن المنطقه مازالت مرتبطه بالموت كما يعٌتقد بأن مجموعة كهوف قريبه من منطقة بيليز كانت ايضاً مدخلاً اخراً لشيبالبا ,كما انه في بعض مناطق المايا اشير الى ان إتباع درب التبانه (الطريق اللبني) يقود الى شيبالبا ايضاً

Xibalba "Shee-bal-ba" was the name the underworld in Mayan Mythology  ruled by twelve of the Maya death gods and their helpers

The name Xibalba translates as "Place of Fear" and it was believed that the entrance to Xibalba was a cave in the vicinity of Coban, Guatemala. but according to some of the Mayan presently living in the vicinity, the area is still associated with death. Cave systems in nearby Belize have also been referred to as the entrance to Xibalba. In some Maya areas, the Milky Way is viewed as the road to Xibalba too

The underworld was a truly fearsome place, strongly associated with water, it had its own landscape, gods, and blood-thirsty predators , There was, unfortunately, not much chance of escaping the place, either. Ideas such as leading a good life and avoiding eternal torment by not doing bad things were not part of the Maya belief system,every soul should go through Xibalba and try to escape to go to the paradise , only those who died a violent death avoided Xibalba

العديد من المحاكمات والاخطار على الميت ان يواجهها ,الهة شيبالبا كانوا يستمتعون بإرسال الموتى الى غرف مخادعة مليئة بالافخاخ للتسلية ,وتتضمن عبور المياة الخطيرة والجبال العالية , انهار من الدم , وهجمات الفؤوس المتأرجحه , السكاكين والاسهم

لمساعدة الموتى على هذه الصعاب كان يتم دفنهم او حرقهم مع ادوات مفيده لتساعدهم في رحلتهم اللى العالم الاخر مثل الاسلحة والاداوت الحربية او حبل لرمي الحجارة او سلع غالية مثل حجر الجاد للمقايضه او الطعام مثل الشوكولاته الساخنة لمده بالطاقة أو حتى الكلاب حقيقية كانت ام من الفخار لتكون كرفيق في هذا الدرب او كمرشده

Many trials and dangers had to be faced by the dead. The gods of Xibalba were said to enjoy sending the dead into devious trap rooms for fun , These included the crossing of dangerous waters and high mountains, rivers of blood, attack by spinning obsidian knives and arrows

To help the soul survive such an ordeal, the dead were buried or cremated with useful pieces of equipment such as weapons, tools, weaving kits, precious goods like jade for trade, sustaining food such as hot chocolate, and even dogs (real or pottery effigies) to act as companions and guides.

ماهو علم الاساطير النورديه  او النرويجيه ؟ وكيف يرتبط بتومب رايدر

الاساطير النوردية  المعروفة ايضاً بأسم الاساطير الاسكندنافية هي نوع من الديانات كانت ومازالت مستمره عند بعض سكان دول اسكندنافيا حتى بعد انتشار الدين المسيحي في دول اسكندنافيا في الفترة مابين القرن الثامن والثاني عشر ميلادي , ألهة وربات النورديون محبوبون جداً من قبل شعب الفايكنج الذين انتشروا بشكل كبير في الدينمارك والنرويج والسويد وآيسلند وجزر فارو وجرينلاند

طبقاً للاساطير النورديه هنالك تسعة عوالم او كواكب مرتبطه جميعها بشجره تدعى إغدراسيل وهذه العوالم هي

What is the Norse Mythology ? and how does it connect to Tomb Raider world

Norse Mythology also known as the Scandinavian mythology is a kind of religion that was and is still practiced by some of the people in the Scandinavian countries even after The Christianization of Scandinavia took place between the 8th and the 12th centuries. The Norse gods and goddesses were loved by the Vikings. The Vikings came mainly from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Faroe Island, and Greenland.

According to the Norse Mythology there was nine world all connected with a tree called Yggdrasil and these worlds are:

Midgard, the world of humanity
Asgard, the world of the Aesir tribe of gods and goddesses
Vanaheim, the world of the Vanir tribe of gods and goddesses
Jotunheim, the world of the giants
Niflheim, the primordial world of ice
Muspelheim, the primordial world of fire
Alfheim, the world of the elves
Svartalfheim, the world of the dwarves
Helheim, the world of the eponymous goddess Hel and the dead

Thor ثور

في الاسطورة النورديه ارتبط الاله ثور بإستخدام المطرقة , وهو إله البرق والرعد , الرياح واشجار البلوط والقوة وحامي البشر كما كان يقدس للشفاء والخصوبة

كان ثور يوصف دائماً بشكل رجل ضخم قوي البنية بلحية حمراء وعينان بلون البرق لكن على الرغم من منظره الشرس الا انه كان محبوباً جداً لحمايته الاله والبشر ضد قوى الشر حتى انه فاق شعبية والده اودين

In Norse mythology, Thor  is a hammer wielding god associated with thunder, lightning, storms, oak trees, strength, the protection of mankind, and also hallowing, healing and fertility

Thor was usually portrayed as a large, powerful man with a red beard and eyes of lightning. Despite his ferocious appearance, he was very popular as the protector of both gods and humans against the forces of evil. He even surpassed his father Odin in popularity

 ذكر ثور من قبل في تومب رايدر 1996 وكان له قبر/تحدي خاص به

Mjolnir ميولنير

ميولنير هي مطرقة ثور والاسم يعني حرفياً "ذلك الشي الذي يسحق ويحول الى تراب

ميولنير هي اكثر الاسلحة قوة , قادرة على مساوات الجبال , ويمكن للمطرقة ان تصيب اي هدف وتعود الى يد ثور اليمنى من نفسها ويمكنها ان تطلق ضربات صواعق , كما يمكن استخدامها للقتل والتحطيم وهي قوية كفاية لقتل الاله لكنها ايضاً تنعش الانسان والحيوان وتعيدهم لقوتهم , يمكن لمطرقة ثور التقلص بشكل سحري لتلائم الدخول الى قميص ثور ولقد صنعت على يد قزمين اخوين هما بروكر و ايتري

استخدم الفايكنج مطرقة ثور كتعويذه او قلادة للحماية من الارواح الشريرة من كل نوع وخاصتاً العواصف

Mjolnir is the hammer of Thor, the name mean "That which marks and pulverizes to dust" 

Mjolnir is one of the most fearsome weapons, capable of leveling mountains. Thor's hammer can hit any target. After the target is hit, the hammer will return to Thor's right hand all by itself. The hammer can send out lightning bolts. it also can be used to kill and destroy it even strong enough to kill gods, but also revive people or animals. Thor's hammer can also be magically shrunken to fit inside Thor’s shirt. Thor's hammer made by the dwarven brothers Brokkr and Eitri. 

Viking used Thor's Hammer as amulets or pendants for protection against evils of all kinds, especially storms

Jormungandr يورمونغاندر

يورمونغاند هو ثعبان بحري والابن الاوسط للعملاقة انجاربودا ولوك , طبقاً للاساطير النورديه , اخذ اودين ابناء لوك الثلاثة الثعلب فينرير و هيل إلهة الموتى والثعبان يورمونغاند  ليتخلص منهم لعلمه بأنهم سيشكلون خطراً كبيراً على العالم وقام برمي يورمونغاند في محيطاً هائل يطوق ميدجارد , نمى الثعبان بشكل سريع وكبر حتى اصبح بمقدوره تطويق كوكب الارض كاملاً والقبض على ذيلة من الطرف الثاني ولذلك سمي بثعبان ميدجارد اي ثعبان العالم , عندما يفلت في نهاية الزمان سينتهي العالم

عدو يورمونغاند  اللدود هو الاله ثور , التقيا مرتين قبل ذلك لكن ثور فشل في قتله ولكن في لقائهم الاخير كما يتوقع سيكون في راغناروك اي نهاية العالم , عندما يصعد يورمونغاند من المحيط ويسمم السماء سيظهر ثور ويقتله وبعدها يمشي تسعة خطوات قبل ان يسقط ويموت هو ايضاً جراء سم الثعبان

Jormungandr is a sea serpent, the middle child of the giantess Angrboda and Loki. According to the Norse mythology, Odin took Loki's three children , the wolf Fenrir, Hel and Jormungandr because he knew they will be a threat for gods and humans, and tossed Jormungandr into the great ocean that encircles Midgard. The serpent grew so large that he was able to surround the earth and grasp his own tail. As a result, he received the name of the Midgard Serpent or World Serpent. When he lets go, the world will end.

Jormungandr's arch-enemy is the god Thor. They met three two times before but Thor failed to kill him in but in The last meeting between the serpent and Thor is predicted to occur at Ragnarok, when Jormungandr will come out of the ocean and poison the sky Thor will kill Jormungandr and then walk nine paces before falling dead, having been poisoned by the serpent's venom

Ragnarok راغناروك

يعتقد الفايكنج في الاساطير النورديه بأن العالم سينتهي يوماً ما , وبأن هذا الحدث يسمى راغناروك والكلمة تعني نهاية العالم

راغناروك هو يوم سقوط الاله والبشر وموتهم جميعاً , وستكون المعركة الاخيرة بين إيسر وهم الاله الصالحون والفانير وهم الاله الاشرار وستكون معركة المعارك وهو اليوم الذي تعود فيه ارواح موتى الفايكنج المحاربين ( انهاريار) من قاعة فالهالا والذين ماتوا بشرف في المعركة ليلتقطوا اسلحتهم ودروعهم ليقاتلوا جنباً الى جنب مع جماعة إيسر ضد الفانير

وعند انتهاء المعركة سيغطي المحيط الارض ليبتلع جثث الموتى وستصعد الارض من قاع المحيط مرة اخرى نظيفة من كل الجثث وتبداء حياة جديدة

The Vikings belived that in Norse mythology the world one day will end as we know it, they called this day Ragnarok which means ""the end of the world""

Ragnarok is the doom of the gods and the humans. It will be the final battle between the Aesir ( the good gods) and Jotuns ( the evil gods) .

This will be the battle to end all battles, and this will be the day that all the Vikings “Einherjar” from Valhalla who had died honourable in battle, to pick up their swords and armor to fight side by the side with the Aesir against the Jotuns

And when the battle is over the ocean will cover the earth to swallow all the corpses and the earth was once again raised clean from the ocean and a new life begin

Niflheim نيفيلهايم

نيفيلهايم "بيت الضباب" وهي منطقة شمالية بعيدة وبارده ورطبه يغشيها الضباب تقع في اكثر منطقة منخفضة في العالم وهي جزء من عالم الموتى "هيلهايم" , بعد راغناروك يستم فتح قاعة في هذا المكان لمحاكمة القتله وناقضي العهود وزير النساء

Niflheim "house of mists" is the far northern region of icy fogs and mists, darkness and cold. It is situated on the lowest level of the universe. The realm of death, Helheim is part of the vast, cold region. After Ragnarok, there will be a hall here for the punishment of murderers, oath breakers, and philanderers.

Helheim هيلهايم

هيلهايم "عالم هيل" او عالم الموت وهو احد العوالم التسعة في الاساطير النورديه , ويحكم من قبل هيل ابنة لوكي وزوجته انجاربودا

هذا العالم البارد المظلم والرطب يقع في جزء من عالم نيفيلهايم في اقل منخفض في نهاية العالم النوردي , لايستطيع احداً ابداً الهروب من هذا المكان وذلك لسبب حمم الايتر التي تخرج من افواه الثعابين وتحيط بهيلهايم , بمجرد دخول هيلهايم لايمكن لاحد الخروج حتى الاله , واولائك الذين ماتوا من الهرم او الامراض والذين لم يموتوا في ساحات المعارك يذهبون الى هيلهايم بينما الشجاعان الذين ماتوا في المعارك يذهبون الى فالهالا

Helheim ("house of Hel") is one of the nine worlds of Norse mythology. It is ruled by Hel, the monstrous daughter of the trickster god Loki and his wife Angrboda.

This cold, dark and misty abode of the dead is located in the world of Niflheim, on the lowest level of the Norse universe. No one can ever leave this place, because of the impassable Etir that flows from the Serpents and encircles Helheim. Once they enter Helheim, not even the gods can leave. Those who die of old age or disease, and those not killed in battle, go to Helheim while those who die bravely on the battlefield go to Valhalla.

Etir الايتر

الايتر في علم الاساطير النورديه هو مادة سائلة وأصل كل الاشياء الحية , لكن لمسة واحده للايتر تجعل المخلوق يحيا حياة ابدية في صورة جثه متحركة , المادة سامة جداً ويتم انتاجها من يورمونغاند (ثعبان ميدجارد) وثعابين اخرى

Eitr is a mythical substance in Norse mythology. This liquid substance is the origin of all living things. a touch of the Eitr can gave the creature appearance of eternal life in the animation of corpses, The substance is supposed to be very poisonous and is also produced by Jormungandr (the Midgard serpent) and other serpents.

Valhalla فالهالا

فالهالا هي قاعة المقتولين وهي ملكية وفخمة بإدارة الاله اودين ,الذي يختار مستحقي الجلوس معه ممن ماتوا في الحروب , حيث يسافرون بعد الموت الى فالهالا ويشفوا من جراحهم ليعيشوا بسعادة بضيافة اودين

Valhalla is hall of the dead a majestic, enormous hall  ruled over by the god Odin. whom he deems worthy of dwelling with him , those warriors who die in combat travel to Valhalla upon death and they healed from their wounds and live happily with the hospitality of Odin

Odin اودين

اودين هو رجل بعين واحده وهو والد جميع الاله في الاساطير النورديه يرتبط ذكره بالشفاء والموت ,الملوك , المشنقة , المعرفة , المعارك , السحر والشعر , خسر عينه لتكون له القدره على مشاهدة المستقبل

Odin is a one eyed man and the father of most of the gods in Norse mythology he associated with healing, death, royalty, the gallows, knowledge, battle, sorcery, poetry , He lost his eye to get the power to see the future
