تظهر بابا ياجا في احدى مراحل التحميل الاضافية في شروق التومب رايدر , لنتعرف على الاسطورة وراء تلك الساحرة
بابا ياجا (الجدة ياجا) هي ساحرة من الفلوكلور السُلافي في شرق اوروبا , عادتاً ماتمثل بأنها قصيرة , بشعه , بأنف ضخم مشوه واسنان طويلة , تسافر جاثمة في هاون كبير بساقيها العظميتان الطويلتان وركبتيها التاني تلمسان ذقنها , تدفع نفسها في ارجاء الغابة حاملة مدقة وتجمع الاطفال في الهاون لتأكلهم لاحقاً في كوخها القابع في عمق الغابة , كوخها الذي يبدوا وكأن له شخصيته الخاصة حيث يمكنه ان يتحرك من مكانة بأستخدام ارجله المشابه للدجاجة , وعادتاً مايتحرك الكوخ بسرعة حول الغابة او انه يقف ليرتاح وظهره للزوار , وعلى مايبدوا بأن الشبابيك تستخدم كعيون له , لا يظهر المنزل بابه حتى تقال الكملة السحرية : اعطي ظهرك للغابة وواجهتك لي ,والسياج المحيط بنزل بابا ياجا مصنوع من العظام البشرية وجماجم على قمته وفي اغلب الاحيان يكون هنالك عمود بدون جمجمه تركت مساحة فارغة لضحية اخرى
في بعض القصص ظهر لها اختان كبيرتان يعشن في منازل مشابهه ويدعين بابا ياجا ايضاً فقط لتشويش الضحايا , ايضاً في بعض الروايات يقال بأن كوشي الخالد عمل لديها كراعي ماشية , ليحصل على احد جيادها السحرية في المقابل
بالرغم من انها تصور بشكل عفريته مفزعه , الا ان بابا ياجا يمكن ان تلعب دور المساعدة والمرأة الحكيمة , في بعض الاحيان تعطي النصح والهدايا السحرية للابطال وذوي القلوب النقية
Baba Yaga (Grandmother Yaga) is a witch from the Slavic folklore she's usually represented as little, ugly, with a huge and distorted nose and long teeth , She travels perched in a large mortar with her long bony legs and knees almost touching her chin, and pushes herself across the forest with a pestle collecting children in her way putting them in her mortar to eat them later in her Hut which is deep in the forest ,Her hut seems to have a personality of it's own and can move about on its extra-large chicken legs. Usually the hut is either spinning around as it moves through the forest or stands at rest with its back to the visitor. The windows of the hut seem to serve as eyes ,The house does not reveal the door until it is told a magical phrase: Turn your back to the forest, your front to me. The fence surrounding Baba Yaga's palisade is made of human bones with skulls on top, often with one pole lacking its skull, leaving space for another victim
In some stories she has two older sisters,lived in similar huts who are also called Baba Yaga just to confuse the victims also in one of the stories they say Koschei the deathless works as a herdsman for her in order to earn one of her magical steeds
Although she is mostly portrayed as a terrifying old Hag , Baba Yaga can also play the role of a helper and wise woman , she sometimes gives advice and magical gifts to heroes and the pure of heart
