بعد خمس سنوات من التطوير تم الكشف اخيراً عن مخرج فيلم إعادة التصور من تومب رايدر
وفقاً لـ هوليود ريبورتر سيجتمع "روار أوثاو" مخرج الدراما النرويجية "الموجه" مع جي كاي فيلم و ام جي ام وشركة وارنر برذرز في هذا المشروع لاعادة احياء اسم اللعبة في السينما واستعراض عالمة الاثار لارا كروفت , علماً بأنه سيكون اول فيلم يخرجه باللغة الانجليزية , يتوقع إصدار الفيلم في وقتاً ما من عام 2017
كروفت هي بطلة سلسلة من العاب الفيديو الشهيرة وواحدة من اكثر شخصيات الالعاب شهرتاً , ظهرت لاول مره على الشاشة ببطولة انجلينا جولي في 2001 في فيلم لارا كروفت : تومب رايدر وهو اعلى فيلم مقتبس من لعبة فيديو يحقق ارباحاً حتى يومنا هذا

According to Hollywood Reporter Roar Uthaug, the director behind the Norwegian disaster drama The Wave, will join GK films , MGM and Warner Bros.'s future project that seeks to relaunch the franchise featuring Archeologist Lara Croft , it would be his first English-language debut , the film expected to be release sometime in 2017
