هل تعلم بأن قصر كروفت الذي ظهر في الالعاب والافلام مستند على قصر حقيقي يدعى منزل هاتفيلد ؟

وفقاً لسيرة حياة لارا , حصلت عائلة كروفت على اللقب والحقوق لـ ابينجدون في منطقة سوري على يد الملك ادورد السادس عام 1547 , تتكون عقارات عائلة كروفت من ثلاثة قصور منفصلة وبقيت ملكاً لعائلة كروفت لاجيال , تقع ثلاثين ميلاً من الجنوب الغربي من لندن في مقاطعة سوري في انجلترا

القصر في الالعاب تم تصميمه مطابقاً لقصرهاتفيلد حتى من الداخل

Did you know that Croft Manor which appeared in the games and the movies was based on real-life manor known as Hatfield House ?

According to Lara's Bio The Croft family was granted the title and rights to Abingdon, Surrey by King Edward VI in 1547 , The Croft Estates are comprised of three separate manor houses, it has been in the Croft family for generations , located 30 miles southwest of London in Surrey, England

The manor in the games was intentionally designed to resemble Hatfield House, even on the inside

بني منزل هاتفيلد عام 1497 على يد كاهن ووزير الملك هنري السابع وكان يحتوي على اربع اجنحه بشكل مربعات يتوسطها فناء لكن تم الاستيلاء على المنزل من قبل الملك هنري الثامن مع بعض ممتلكات الكنيسة الاخرى

ابناء الملك هنري الثامن وهما الملك ادور السادس والملكة اليزابيث الاولى قضيا طفولتهما في قصر هاتفيلد في منطقة هاتفيلد في مقاطعة هيرتفوردشير في انجلترا والذي يقع على بعد اثنان وعشرون ميلاً من شمال لندن

وريث اليزابيث الملك جيمس الاول لم يحب القصر لذلك قام بأعطائه لرئيس الوزراء روبرت سيزل مقابل قصر ذيوبولدز وهو منزل عائلة سيزل , احب سيزل البناء لذا قام بهدم ثلاثة اجنحه من القصر الملكي في عام 1608 واستخدم الطوب لبناء الشكل الحالي للقصر

Hatfield House was Built in 1497 by the Bishop of Ely, King Henry VII's minister and was comprised four wings in a square surrounding a central courtyard. The palace was seized by Henry VIII with other church properties

Henry VIII's children, King Edward VI and Queen Elizabeth I, spent their childhood at Hatfield Palace which located in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England and it sits about 22 miles to the north of London

Elizabeth's successor, King James I, did not like the palace much and so gave it to his chief minister Robert Cecil, 1st Earl of Salisbury, in exchange for Theobalds which was the Cecils' family home, Cecil liked to build and so tore down three wings of the royal palace in 1608 and used the bricks to build the present structure.

اصبح قصر هاتفيلد الان مزاراً مشهوراً لحتوائه على ادوات ارتبطت بالملكة اليزابيث الاولى تتضمن قفازات وجوارب حريرية يعتقد بأنها الاولى في انجلترا كما  تحتوي المكتبة على لفافه جلدية بطول اثنان وعشرون قدماً كتب فيها نسب الملكة واسلافها والذين يعود اصلهم الى آدم وحواء بينما القاعة الرخامية تحتوي على لوحة قوس قزح للمكلة اليزابيث وتضم الغرف الاخرى العديد من اللوحات والاثاث والاقمشة المنجده والدروع وسلم منحوت من الخشب بشكل مذهل وزجاج نافذة ملون في مصلى خاص بالاضافة الى الاسلوب اليعقوبي القديم في فن العمارة بينما من الخارج تمتد الحديقة على 42 فدان تعود الى القرن السابع عشر وتحتوي على متاهه

Hatfield House is a popular tourist attraction because it  has so many objects associated with Queen Elizabeth I, including some gloves and a pair of silk stockings that are believed to have been the first ones in England. The library displays a 22 feet long illuminated parchment roll showing the pedigree of the Queen with ancestors back to Adam and Eve. The Marble Hall holds the "Rainbow Portrait" of Elizabeth. The State Rooms house many important paintings, furniture, tapestries and armour, The richly carved wooden Grand Staircase and the rare stained glass window in the private chapel are among the house's original Jacobean style of architecture while from the outside The Gardens covering 42 acresand a maze, date from the early 17th century
