تسربت اليوم صور اولية جداً لمواد فنية مستخرجة من النسخة المعاد تصميمها من لعبة تومب رايدر انيفيرسري ريماستر التي كان العمل قائماً عليها بين عامي 2019 و2021، لكنها ألغيت. هذا الإصدار المحسن كان من تطوير استدويو كريستال داينمكيس بالتعاون مع فرع شنغهاي من استوديو فيرتشوس، وذلك خلال الفترة التي كانت فيها اللعبة تنشر من خلال سكوير اينيكس
في البداية، بدأ المشروع من خلال نقل نسخة الحاسوب من لعبة تومب رايدر انيفيرسري إلى جهاز اكس بوكس ومنصات حديثة أخرى. لكن لاحقًا، تغير المشروع واخذ قرارًا فنياً اخر، حيث رأى الفريقان أنه من أجل تقديم ميزات عصرية أكثر، سيكون عليهم دمج محرك عليهم دمج محرك نسخة انيفيرسري مع نسخة رايز اوف ذا تومب رايدر
لاحقاً تم إلغاء المشروع بسبب تعقيدات في عملية الدمج بين المحركين أو لأسباب أخرى لم يتم توضيحها علماً بأنه لم يتم التصريح من قبل كريستال ما اذا كانت الصور حقيقيه ام لا
It was leaked today very early images of art assets extracted from the cancelled Tomb Raider: Anniversary Remaster (2019-2021). This remaster was created by Crystal Dynamics with collaboration with Virtuos Shanghai. Around the time Crystal were still having their games published by Square Enix. This remaster initially started through porting the PC version of Tomb Raider: Anniversary directly to Xbox One and other modern platforms. It is then when the project took a huge design decision as both teams had decided that to grant more modern features they'd have to merge the old Tomb Raider Anniversary engine with Rise of Tomb Raider engine. Unfortunately the project was cancelled due to possible complications with this engine merging process and/or other reasons , it’s worth mentioning that Crystal’s did not comment if these were real or fake
